Today after work, I decided to spend Valentine's Day by going for a meetup event at
Kika Tapas in Cambridge. This place is a pretty upscale Spanish tapas restaurant, and the decor showed for it.
After everyone arrived, we star
ted ordering the interesting tapas plates on the menu, going for the Berenjena Rellena (Vegetable and Goat Cheese Stuffed Eggplant Rolls), Pão de Queijo (Crusty Brazilian Cheese Bread), Pato Braseado (Roast Duck Leg with Berry Sauce), Buñuelos (Broccoli & Cauliflower Fritters), Vieiras al Azafran (Scallops in Saffron Cream), Butifarras con Foie Gras (Pork Sausage, Foie Gras, Poached Apples, Fig & Port Wine Sauce), Chuletillas (Baby Lamb Chops with Apricot Glaze), Camarones a la Plancha (Grilled Shrimp with Salsa Roja), Boquerones (Marinated Fresh Anchovy Filets), Costillas de Buey (Beer Braised Short Ribs), Setas al Ajillo (Sautéed Wild Mushrooms) and the Tortilla Española (Egg, Potato & Onion Omelette). |

Of all the dishes, I liked the duck, scallops, Foie gras, lamb chops, short ribs and wild mushrooms, while the rest were just average though still good. Definitely a place I would recommend, and I had a great time conversing with a small group of people, which is much better than a much larger group where I can only talk to a few people at a time.
